Morirás lejos: asedios al lector
Abstract
The Holocaust upset mainly the Jews; it must, however, be felt and rethought not only by the
Jewish community but also by everyone that doesn’t want theses atrocities be renewed. Therefore,
José Emilio Pacheco achieves a social role thanks to his cognitive, emotional and moral appellation
to his reader. The aim of this article is to show how Pacheco, the author of Morirás lejos calls for an
active reader for his novel.
