Abstract

Sewell was a residential-industrial settlement in the mountains organized in terraces on a hillside in a very reduced site. Sewell achieved high densities due to the several storied buildings, which mixed housing and industry harmoniously. The unique image of this settlement is very valuable and that is why it is being presented to be in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
